Roseline Michael Neveling

Roseline is an art advisor and cultural strategist with two decades of experience in the arts + culture sector. She enjoys working at the intersection of passion and commerce, and is sought after for her aesthetic intelligence, strategic thinking, and unique breadth and depth of expertise.
Having begun her career at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Roseline's eye for detail led the lifelong aesthete to Sotheby’s. Over the next decade plus, her intellectual curiosity and executional excellence allowed her to rise through the ranks. She served a number of senior executive roles in the fine arts, global marketing, and business development divisions for the auction house in New York and Hong Kong, working with a broad range of categories from Old Masters to Impressionism to Modern Art to Contemporary Asian Art. In 2011, she was appointed Head of Proposals for Sotheby’s, where she led a team that developed bespoke strategies to win masterpieces and major collections. Her group was instrumental in securing over $3 billion in consignments of fine art. In 2015, she joined Sotheby’s Modern Art department, growing to become Head of Impressionist & Modern Art Business for the Americas with P&L responsibility and over $1.5 billion in sales. After 12 years with the auction house, Roseline left Sotheby’s to form Neveling Arts+Culture in 2020.
Respected equally for her aesthetic intelligence as well as her strategic thinking and operational prowess, Roseline's breadth of expertise uniquely positions her to advise her clients.
Roseline studied architecture and economics at the University of Virginia, and resides in New York City with her husband and daughter. She is a former Aspen Ideas Festival Fellow, an executive member of ArtTable, and a member of POWarts, the American Alliance of Museums, the Appraisers Association of America, and the American Name Society. She has served on the Board of Directors of the 52nd Street Project and Exploring the Metropolis, and is a Trustee of Convent of the Sacred Heart, an independent girls school in Manhattan.
